Hidden Water Farm is owned by Josh and Arabi
Peterson. Arabi has over 20 + years
experience training, competing and
successfully showing horses in several areas
of disciplines both Western and English. She
has won hundreds of ribbons and trophies
over the years in barrel racing, pole
bending and gymkhana events. Arabi is
planning to resume competitive trail
competitions as well as endurance riding
this year. Josh is also getting into the
competitive spirit and will be conditioning,
training and competing with the horses as
well. While working as a trainer for Harmony
Arabians in Camden, AR, she got started in
Endurance riding, training and conditioning.
She purchased one of their prospects as a 2
year old, trained him, and went on to take a
1997 National Top Ten 100 mile event. Multi
Top Ten at Regional Level.
Arabi also spent 8 years as a veterinarian
technician and working in emergency/critical
care, surgery, lab tech, dental tech,
treatments, client education; specializing
in multi species nutritional management.
Here is where she was motivated to become a
wildlife rehabilitator and open a
sanctuary/refuge for all species.
She spent 4 years working with the mentally
and physically challenged on how to ride and
care for horses as well as training horses
for "voice commands" to help customers with
communication aids.
Arabi also enjoys working Hunter/Jumper. She
is currently adding dressage to her
repertoire and has worked her way up to
national level which she is very proud of.
Josh and Arabi moved to Oklahoma in December
of 2006, purchasing a neglected piece of
land whose beauty shined through the debris
and weeds. A week after being on the farm,
they found a hidden pond and decided to call
their new place, Hidden Water Farm.
The property is special for so many reasons
and is constantly being improved. The
Petersons invite you and your equine
family to stop by and experience the subtle
charm of Hidden Water Farm. |
